Financial Alliance Joins Hands with Singapore Cancer Society to Offer Cancer Screening Services at No Cost for Seniors Under FIT50 Programme

Clients of Financial Alliance Pte Ltd (FAPL) turning 50 years old will soon enjoy cancer screening services at no cost as part of efforts to encourage them to stay healthy through regular cancer screening.

This is made possible as a result of the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FAPL and the Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) on 24 July 2023 at FAPL’s office, which brings the FIT50 programme to all Singapore Citizen clients of Financial Alliance who turn 50 in 2023.

First launched in 2014, FIT50 provides fully-sponsored screening services for three commonly-diagnosed cancers affecting Singaporeans – namely, the HPV test, Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) and mammogram screening. Eligible participants do not have to pay out of pocket, after accounting for prevailing government subsidies.

The momentous partnership was inked by SCS CEO Albert Ching and FAPL Managing Director Vincent Ee, and witnessed by SCS Deputy Director Kenneth Foo and FAPL Group Business Development Director Tang Khan Loon. Also present at the occasion were FAPL Executive Director Lim Sin Tat, and representatives from SCS and FAPL.

FAPL Managing Director Vincent Ee expressed his appreciation to SCS for this partnership: “We are truly honoured to work together with Singapore Cancer Society, an organisation that has been doing important work for many years. Given the increasing prevalence of cancer, I am convinced that this initiative will play an important role in supporting clients to live healthier and making positive difference.”

SCS CEO Albert Ching shared that “Singapore Cancer Society has always sought to forge partnerships with like-minded organisations to make a meaningful difference in the community”.

“Thanks to medical advancement, the chances of survival is very high when there is regular screening, early detection and early treatment. Thus, we strongly advocate Singaporeans go for regular screenings, because we believe that doing so can really save lives. FIT50 is an important effort towards this end”, he continued.

The signing of this MoU represents a significant milestone for both FAPL and SCS, highlighting their shared commitment to promoting good health in the communities they serve.

FAPL clients who are interested in taking part in FIT50 can contact their preferred financial advisory representative for more details or contact FAPL on their website. For more information, please refer to this programme brochure.
